Kips Bay Palm Beach
The annual Kips Bay Palm Beach Showhouse is always a smorgasbord of creative inspiration, and this year was no exception. As designers came in from all over the country to dream up rooms in a modern villa in the SoSo district, Casa Branca was there to work with each team for artisanal finds and elevated finishing touches.
Nothing is more exhilarating to us than seeing designers and clients (you!) incorporating our careful curation of artists, local and global alike, into real world stories. There’s still time to visit the show house before it closes March 17, or drink in the fun here with our favorite rooms and designs- featuring Casa Branca, of course!
In the Loggia and Gallery Entry, designerNadia Wattsused our culture-rich pieces to indulge her love of history and storytelling. As the great-great-granddaughter ofLouis Comfort Tiffany, the jewel tones and gem patterns were inspired by her legacy, making Ashley Hicks’s colorful, hand sculptedTotems, Massimo Mangiardi’sPlaster Bowland Christophe Gaignon mirrors from our Atelier the perfect touches.
Caroline Perrin’sShell Masksare grouped on a front wall as a warm welcome to the showhouse. “It’s very important to me to have a mix of old and new. Casa Branca was the ideal place to find that mix. Working with the team is a dream come true. They offer an elevated take on vintage and artisan options, and I love sourcing local items in Palm Beach.”
Helen Birgin’s Cabana Bath was a “license to have fun”- and with some of our most whimsical pieces! The designer embraced color for the aquatic underworld theme, playing with as many materials as possible for a jewel box effect. “We love Casa Branca not only because we are supporting local, but because everything has a story. They aren't filler pieces, they are one of a kind.” Our Caroline PerrinShell Masks, installed on a sand and 3D acrylic wall cut from coral,Tavolo Pitcher, Palla Pink and RedMartini Glassesand Margot LarkinMushroom Lampscompleted the playful story.
Our Italian glass Twist Tumblers in smoky amber were the perfect addition to Sara Story’s Shangri La Suite. The sexy speakeasy was inspired by Luis Barragan and his architectural forms, very Mexico-lounge-meets-Brazil. “We wanted our Renold Rodriguez cabinet to be a cabinet of sin, filled with cigarettes, pill sculptures- and our Casa Branca glasses. They were the perfect accessory to round out our design!”
Ariel Okinused ourWhite Bisque Porcelain Rosebush in a Wicker Potto anchor a charming vignette in her Trellis Garden, a lush but composed wilderness of botanical style awash in “Messel green” and inspired by Slim Aarons,Cap Ferratand Palm Beach’s ownJohn VolkandMaurice Fatio. “The porcelain rose bush is such a little jewel, and feels so luxe yet casual in the space- to me, the epitome of Palm Beach, plus it highlights nature’s beauty!”
Okin’s touches on a semi-tropical, French seaside mood were perfectly accented by Small Blue Candlesticks and Frog Cachepot by Parisian ceramicist, Jean Roger, which we feel are the perfect grounding touches. “I really hope people can exhale when they enter our space and feel as if they're in someone's own home.” Casa Branca agrees!
“Le Tropical” Lounge byMcCann Design Group and Hive Designis a sensorial walk through immersive sight, sound and scent- with our hand blownGreen Water Glasses and Champagne Flutescompleting the journey at the sumptuous bar.
“Our experience incorporating glassware and the chic bubble votives was fantastic- they were both the perfect shade of olive green that we needed. The Casa Branca team made it a pleasure, and we are very grateful!” The Parisian-chic lounge is an indoor and outdoor oasis where we’d be most happy to crush a cup of French wine…
