What is your signature cocktail or meal for entertaining?

My go-to cocktail is a Southside. It's a local drink that originated at a country club here in Baltimore. The recipe is a bit of a secret, but the main ingredients include fresh mint, lime, sugar, and rum—topped with seltzer. It's refreshing and delicious. We even served it at our wedding!

What is your go-to hostess gift?

It depends on whose home I'm visiting. Oftentimes, it's a really nice bottle of wine. Or I might bring a beautiful candle, a stylish coffee table book, or even embroidered hand towels.

Favorite scent for the home?

The FoundRae candle in Reverie. It's my current favorite. If I want to give a really thoughtful hostess gift, that candle is a top choice.

What made you choose Casa Branca for these spaces?

I visited your store on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach and immediately felt at home. Everything was so aesthetically pleasing—textures, colors, layers—it all spoke to me. At JSID, we design layers, and Casa Branca's collection complements that approach beautifully.

Where do you draw your design inspiration from?

Inspiration can come from anywhere. Sometimes it's an outfit, sometimes nature, a hotel lobby, or a museum. But usually, it starts with a color combination that sparks something creative.

Tips for designing with color and pattern?

I don't think there are any rules. If you layer good design on top of good design, you can mix any colors and patterns—if you're brave enough!

Favorite Casa Branca fabric, wallpaper, or item. :)

The Venezia Linen Velvet in Coral. It reminds me of a Nantucket Red—it's beautiful, versatile, and works with so many different palettes. Papavero Madagascar is my favorite wallpaper. It's grasscloth with a white flower motif. I love grasscloth, and this one feels elevated, with such beautiful dimension. We used  a vintage mid-century side table with an attached standing lamp that we used in a project in Delray, Florida. It adds height and interest to the room while being functional.

Any final thoughts you'd like to share with the Casa Branca community?

The quality and craftsmanship of Casa Branca fabrics and wall coverings are truly unparalleled. The color palettes are just slightly unexpected in the best way—they always work. We used the blue Madagascar on a ceiling in a Charlottesville project, and people constantly ask about it. We also put a striped grasscloth in East Hampton that completely transformed the space. Honestly, I can't think of a single project where we didn't incorporate at least one or two Casa Branca pieces. It's a staple in our work.
