lodi

Lush, textural, and unmistakably classic, Lodi draws from the wild serenity of its namesake garden in Delhi. Rendered with 19th-century printmaking techniques and printed on sisal or raffia textured paperweave, it offers a modern openness while retaining the imperfect beauty of a hand-blocked print. Launched with the New Classics Collection, it's a grounding backdrop for both minimal and maximalist rooms.

designing lodi

The motifs were created using linocut printing—a technique where designs are hand-carved into linoleum blocks, then inked and pressed onto paper. We selected this method as a deliberate nod to traditional Indian block printing, embracing the subtle variations that occur with each impression. Rather than achieving perfect repetition, we wanted each motif to differ slightly, retaining the authentic, hand-crafted quality that makes traditional printmaking so compelling. Rendered with these 19th-century techniques and printed on sisal or raffia textured paperweave, Lodi offers a modern openness while celebrating the imperfect beauty of the maker's hand. Lodi is a nod to craftsmanship over machine perfection—an Indian print in spirit, Casa Branca in voice.

bahia

Introducing Bahia, our new sisal textured paperweave named after Brazil's northeastern state—the world's largest producer of sisal fiber. This distinctive weave captures the organic beauty and raw texture of natural sisal, bringing an authentic, earthy quality to any interior. Lodi is also available in our raffia textured paperweave, Madagascar.
