✤ Crop for Impact ✤
A striped woven fabric can bring unexpected texture and depth to upholstery. Upholster only the cushion of a chair in a bold central stripe, leaving the arms and frame in a solid or narrower stripe section from the same fabric.
✤ Window Treatments ✤
Use a selvedge stripe as a vertical leading edge on a solid Fiandre linen curtain panel–it will create a softer, more draping effect than a grosgrain trim. Or try railroading striped fabric to create top and bottom borders!
✤ Play with Pillows ✤
Shift the orientation to get three looks from a single fabric: one vertical, one horizontal, and one on the diagonal bias for a dynamic trio.
