When we launched Fondamenta last year, we called each Casa Branca collection a thread in an ongoing conversation—one that traces history, tradition, and our own evolving story.
Since then, it’s been a joy to watch designers pick up that thread and run with it, weaving Fondamenta into their spaces far and wide.
True to its name—Fondamenta, or “foundation”—has become a building block and an important part of the Casa Branca toolkit. Just as we hoped, the collection has been used to great effect: grounding entire rooms, adding rich texture to accent pieces, and bringing a sense of play to everything from curtains and custom window treatments to pillows and upholstery.
We love watching how Pietra’s optical illusion brings architectural movement to otherwise bare spaces. The graphic depth inspired by sun-washed Roman streets and courtyards comes alive through a playful trompe l’oeil. Elongate a hallway, add unexpected geometry to a powder room, or bring texture and balance to a library, dressing area, or dining nook. Wrap a room from floor to ceiling or use it in panels and architectural insets.
Crisp, clean, and inviting—with its uniquely fine hand woven by the finest Italian mills in soft twill linen rather than traditional cotton, it would be hard to live without our classic ticking stripe.
