Adrien Audoux (1900-1963) and Frida Minet (1902-1988) were a French design duo known for their innovative and highly acclaimed work in the field of furniture and lighting design. They collaborated closely for several decades and made significant contributions to the mid-century modern design movement. Adrien Audoux was born on January 15, 1900, and Frida Minet was born on September 20, 1902, both in France. They met while studying at the Ecole Boulle, a prestigious school for decorative arts and design in Paris. The couple's shared passion for craftsmanship and design led them to establish their own design studio in Paris in the 1930s.

Audoux and Minet's designs were heavily influenced by natural materials, organic forms, and traditional craftsmanship. They were known for their use of rattan, a versatile and sustainable material, which they incorporated into their furniture designs. The duo's creations often featured woven elements, intricate patterns, and earthy tones, reflecting their appreciation for nature and simplicity. Their work gained recognition for its elegant and refined aesthetic, as well as its high-quality craftsmanship. Audoux and Minet embraced a collaborative approach, working closely with skilled artisans to bring their designs to life. This emphasis on artisanal techniques and attention to detail resulted in furniture pieces and lighting fixtures that exuded a sense of warmth and timeless beauty. Throughout their career, Audoux and Minet's designs were showcased in prestigious exhibitions, including the 1937 Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne in Paris. They also collaborated with renowned interior designers, architects, and furniture manufacturers, creating bespoke pieces and contributing to interior design projects. The designs of Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet continue to be celebrated for their timeless elegance, craftsmanship, and connection to nature. Their innovative use of materials and their commitment to preserving traditional techniques have left a lasting impact on the world of design, solidifying their place among the pioneers of mid-century modern design.
